Most of the time, people take death as an escape. They believe that "after death" is not going to be painful and so why should they care?

Most of the people I know, care about after death. Some think if they do bad things, they will be punished after they die, some believe they will be reincarnated, some think that buying things to "offer" to their dead ancestries will prolong their life's. Me? Even, having a religion that prays a life after death, and had grown with people with this same view, I tend not believe in life after death. I think people die and that's it. Nothing happens to them after they die, they don't get punished, they don't come back, and they don't go to any special place.
I hope I am wrong ;), and my friends are right.

I will talk about me. I do care a lot about this point. It bothers me a lot. To sleep alone under the earth in dust, left all alone, nobody is there to talk to me , laugh with me, argue with me or even just sit still with me. I m so scared.I wish i never die... hehe But i know that this day will come, and i hope that i end my life in a good peace full way, and that my grave will be lightened somehow and that i will find company. I must work hard on that in this life to find what i wish in the other life , which will be more hard and difficult . GOD BLESS US!!!

I think it is cause some people really don't like to think there is an Afterlife or they don't like the idea of facing God.
Or they don't wanna admit there is a Hellfire but alas denying that there is a Hell does not mean it ain't there.
However you do not have to go there because Jesus paid for your Sins.
If you accept him as Savior then your Sins are removed no matter what you have done.

In my opinion .. Its because we keep thinking that Death is away from us and that we are young.. Sometimes i think in it specially when i hear about someone' Death who is in my age or who is close to me .. So i care about whats after Death then again i became busy in this life and forget it ..

I think that deep down people do think about what's after death, you just can't dwell on it though, & there's as many different ideas about what comes after as there are people in this world.

There were curses for man kind after sin. From the dust you have come and dust you will return.
The bible teaches we will enter the ground not the Hell created by early Christians.

It hard to care about what you don't understand...
"What's after death?" is a question left for religion and philosophy.
