What did they do, and how did you suspect?
This guy at college once asked me how to defrost a car windshield, and he lived in Connecticut!
Another sat RIGHT next to me on an empty bus stop, asked ridiculously dumb questions he knew the answer just to start a conversation, and gave me the "I'll see you around and we should get together sometime" line.
Right!

it surprised me at first and when i realized what was going on i politely let him know that i was straight. i didn't get angry nor did i feel violated. i was puzzled on how he got the idea i was gay.

I don't think anyone should feel violated/bothered by someone hitting on them.
How should a gay man feel when being hit on by a girl? Or a lesbian by a man.

Sure, when u stay a long time chatting and visiting chat rooms , you visit lesbians , gays bisexuals and every kind of people.
One day i met one girl she attarcted me a lot , i had a crush on her and me change my mind. .. i thaught wow, maybe i m really lesbian... i enjoyed it a lot ...

yes, when i was in highschool, there's this lesbian who came 2 our haus & told my mom she likes me... gosh! she gave me d creeps.. dont wana b approached like that agen..
