Violence at School?
:-)
If it is a boxing school, then yes, it's fine,
but a public school?
Should we have a police state so enforced that our children need to have official hall escorts to get them safely from class to class?

Should we lower the age in which a person is threatened by imprisonment? Will this have the affect on them that will make those with a bullying penchant, think before acting?

Must we look at punishing the parent for their childrens transgressions?

Personally, my own take is that as a government/society we have taken two things out of childrens lives that would help rein in their assaultive ways.

1.) We have taken physical correction away from parents as a tool for showing children parameters and the line they must not cross when dealing with others,

and
2.) there are way too many one-parent homes due to father running out, but more to the point....due to second jobs.

A lack of respect for others, combined with a need for attention and the want of feeling like they are not so powerless results in a bullying attitude.

In short, kids need love, and when they don't get it, they go looking for that attention in other ways.

If parents took a more active role in their children's lives, then I doubt some kid would be able to make a bomb in his room.
