before answering i want ya to know that apple sells those arm holders 4 the ipod video too..n as i know that that(arm holder) is used 4 sports n running...but the same time i heared from some ppl that movin much wid the video would damage it..so im confused....wut do u think??!!

the answer above mine is stupid the ipod video has a real hard drive inside it with real moving parts. what prevents damage is the hard drives large cache. what it does is temporarily saves a few songs in the cache and stops the drive when you hear all those songs, the drive spins up and saves a few more songs. so running with the ipod wont hurt it unless you listen to extremely large files of over 16MB(most songs are 5-6MB) so youll be fine

not straight forward drives are hardware. archives can not bodily damage them. keep in mind that the platters spin at some thing like 20 miles in step with hour in there. I very much doubt that unless sweat gets into it (alot) or you drop it. The carrying cases are more for protection against you dropping it.
Don't see why you'd want to jog while running videos though, heh.

No because it has a flash drive instaed of a regular hard disc no moving parts

As long as it is a Flash Drive, it wont damage it.
