My pc is Win XP sp2, no major virus problem affecting my PC .I set the clock
At the task bar in the right bottom of the screen but after some days I get it wrong. repititively upto now.What is making the pc clock go crazy?
Please help.

all mother boards have a watch battery on the board this is the main power source for the clock and cmos/bios. the battery is prolly dead,so just open up your computer and replace the battery. if you need help email me at thunderbolt423@yahoo.com or stuntmaster84@gmail.com

How old is that computer? It could be that your internal battery on the motherboard is dead.... Especially if you are shutting down the computer between errors....

Try not shutting down and see if the clock stays in time? If yes, than you do have a dead battery issue.

Refer to the computers manual for the cure.

Replace your internal battery. Some people call it the BIOS battery, and some call it a CMOS battery, but either way, that should be the source of your problem.

If you double click the clock. Under the Internet Time check which clock it is sychronizing with, it may be in a different timezone.

all computers have a internal clock battery this how the remember the time and what not when unplugged mine did this and it was the battery inside , hope this helps you, good luck
