Day school is when students arrive at school in the mourning and leave in the afternoon with assigned homework. Typically lunch and two recesses are provided. Extra-curricular activities like sports/drama/music is optional and this time is spent in the afternoon after normal school hours. Monday-Friday students continue this routine and have Saturday & Sunday free.

Boarding school is when the students live at the school housed in dormitories, or similar facilities. They wake up and attend classes. Typically the extra-curricular activities are required and this keeps the students busy until dinner. On weekends (Sat & Sun) students have vountairy activities like going shopping, movies, swimming to choose from. All meals, snacks are provided by the school ... and so is the laundry ... or it's outsourced.

Which is better? Each has opportunities and obsticals for the students; so it depends on the student. For me, boarding school was a great experience that helped form who I am today. My only saddness is that I lost contact with so many fellow students who were part of my life for tow solid years. However, I would guess that in day school I would too have lost the friends.

Day School is better than boarding school. Boarding School means that you have to stay in dormatories.
