Well, perhaps you should be asking, "Why can't my friends come out of the closet?" With all of the attention the homosexuality is drawing today, it's practically the "in" thing. Television glorifies homosexuals today as it has glorified atheletes an actors for 100 years.
Do you have to be gay to like those singers?
No.
But, as those singers are probably targeting a gay/lesbian market, I'm sure it doesn't hurt if you happen to be one.
