Try McDonald's, or any fast food place. By the way if you are really interested in a job, decide where you want to work. Speak to the manager and negotiate with them. You will volunteer for two-three weeks, and if they are satisfied with your work then they hire you. Good luck with your search.

Try seeing if someone in your neighborhood needs there dog walked, or if a friend of your parents has a child that needs like after school babysitting. I remember one summer I was I think 13 or 14 I babysat my next door neighbor for about 6 hours a day and as much as I did not like giving up my summer days, I made about 100 a week. Which at the time was alot. But thats alot more then can be expected in babysitting, but if you find someone kind you could make a nice chunk of change. I dont blame you for not wanting to work fast food! I would never want to either. Most i've known to work at like mcdonalds completly hated it and where treated like crap. But they will hire you at 15 if your desprate haha.

I would start with your school counselor. There are always babysitting jobs depending on the age limit for that in CA. Advertise on store boards, etc general cleaning, maybe windows, garages, helping someone with grocery shopping, tutoring, yard work, dog walking or watching. Or just advertise your name and phone #, age and that you are looking for work, can provide references and some of your interest. Make sure you do a background check on anyone that you would accept employment with. Your parents can do that

I used to work for wendy's in ID they hire, and Mcdonald's might. Sorry kid, fast food may be all you can get right now, but keep up the good work and you will never even have to eat at one of those places!

u sound smart guy but its hard to get job at your age. Most city/state have some restriction about hiring kids.
May be you need to think about babysit other kids, or help retired/old age people, lawn/yard work

If you really want to work hard, and it sounds like you do... do your own thing. Mow lawns, run errands, walk dogs, wash windows etc. If you post some fliers in upscale neighborhoods in your area, you're sure to find more work than you can handle.
Plus - entrepreneur looks great on a resume!

there is always the one job that's been around for as long as i can remember and that is a paperboy, not sure what they make but i am sure you can do some things on that income, or go to a mom and pop store and ask if you can clean up for them after closing or before opening.

The most common jobs would probably be like, a cashier at McDonalds. Or something like that. Maybe you could help out at a summer camp, etc..
