Even thought I have a lot of friends, I'm very quiet. I try to talk but most of the times it either comes out wrong or I can't think of anything to say. Can someone help?

Start drinking alcohol. It's known as the social lubricant.

If that doesn't do the trick, cocaine or chrystal meth should have you jabbering away in no time.

first nobody knows it is coming out wrong but you so dont fear saying th "wrong thing" scond laugh at yourself when you say something you think is wrong, third, just practice talking in the mirror at home and take it public, pretend you are the most outgoing person alive convince yourself that you ar the best speaker alive and try it. talk to everyone the more you do it the easier it will be. i too had the same problem when i was younger so i pretended to know something about everything and i put ny 2 cents in everywhere now i cant shut up,i talk to everyone and its great. most people love to talk also. a great conversation starter is to find something to compliment someone onie:their shoes, acessories etc. then ask them where did u get that or how do you ? or when did you...hey,everybody likes the opportunity to toot their own horn or talk about themselves

Lack of general knowledge tends someone to be quite all the time.
Try reading newspaper everyday. Go to some informative site in the Internet and book mark them as your favorites in the browser.
It will help you to get enough ammunition while discussing with your friends on different topics thus making you a talkative person.
Start from now itself.

That sounds like a touch of insecurity. Having a conversation is simply giving feed back on what ever the topic is. I'm sure you have thoughts and ideas about things, just relax and express yourself from the heart and before you know it, it will come easier to you.

You're just nervous. Once you have more confidence in yourself...It won't matter anymore, trust me.... It will either come naturally as you get older {for most people anyway], or you can speed it along by doing things that make YOU proud of yourself. Nothing beats feeling good about who you are.. Then, you don't give a **** what anyone thinks.

Why do you want to be talkative? If your friends like you the way you are then stay that way. Its better to be quiet that to be talkative when what you're saying doesn't mean anything. But if you really want to be talkative, be inquisitive about everything.

Perhaps you could read up on current events, also listen to other important discussions on tv, and radio talk shows, and pay attention to your friends and learn what they mostly enjoy talking about , and start discussing some of those topics with some up to date news, or information.

i understand how you feel....i am an introvert as well....i say wrong things or my mind goes blank, just like you....you need to accept the fact that you are an introvert, and millions of us out there experience the same thing....go to www.personalitypage.com there's more information there....don't feel bad because you don't know how to be talkative....

but, if you really want to change, then just try.....try to be more talkative, and one day it really will happen.....i hope things work out for you!

Get drunk or do drugs that facilitate communication ( though not always listened to communication) like stimulants. The two most popular are methamphetamin and cocaine
