NO YOU SHOULD NEVER BE AROUND CHILDREN AGAIN!

I think that's actually an interesting question.

I thinks its possible that it might actually be worse for the child than the rapist and of course it would have to be highly supervised but its not actually such a bad idea. In some cases it might indeed be a good solution.

I like the idea of getting a criminal involved with the consequences of their crime. Not all criminals are irrevocably evil and some responsibility can be a ticket out of a bad direction. Its also good that people actually have to face up to consequences of their actions.

This is something that many native North Americans understand and linking the criminal with the victim is often a part of their tribal Justice. This is something that the imposed European-based notion of state Justice could learn from. Besides even the existing legal system includes a notion of rehabilitation and restitution, though those roles seem largely unfulfilled.

Your suggestion might not be the ideal answer but I think it implies more wisdom than it seems at first glance.

Raising a child is a privilege. Rapists don't deserve such a privilege. Besides, most children inherit a lot from their parents / guardians, as they grow older, and surely, a rapist is the last person you want to learn anything from.

Rapists should be punished publicly, they should be tortured and thrown into prison for a long period of time. And if the victim is a child, or worse, a baby, the rapist should be sentenced to death in public. This would hopefully serve an example to all prospective and practicing rapists.

I'm going to assume that the when you mention the word rapist, you are referring to a male. Of course, women can be rapists as well, but for the brevity of this response, we'll assume that the rapist in this scenario is a man. Having a child conceived from a rape be raised by the man who raped his mother is a bad idea. Not only for the child, but for the mother. A mother's attachment to her child is very strong. I highly doubt that she will want to raise her child with the man who raped her, or even let her baby go to be raised by him alone.

Why punish the child. Rapists do the act for control. The rapist might very well rape the child as well.

How ridiculous. Raising a child is an act of love; not violence. The child like the woman is the innocent victim.

Rapists should have their genitals remove and flushed down the toilet, and a child that is the result of a rape should never hear about how they were conceived.

NO! Rapist should be taught to respect the dignity of humans as children of God, but give a rapist a child? OMG, thats dumb!

definately not. they may be forced to pay for child care. although this act can change the heart of any rapist, the potential danger to the life and limb of the child far outweighs its advantages.

No , they would eventually rape the child . In thoose cases , i think that it would better for the child to be given up for adoption ! Who would ever want to tell thier beautiful child , that they were brought into the world that way?

Heck no. if you were raped and got pregnant would you even want to have the child? If you do have the child would you be able to raise that child?
