Ok, I am such a penny-pincher. Is there a free radio station that I can play while playing on the computer? Please do not tell me that nothing is free.

You can use Yahoo Launch for free. You can choose from different genres, or create a custom station. The free version streams at 24k or 56k, so it sounds a bit distorted or "metallic" If you want near CD quality; you will have to pay $4.99 a month.

Even look for your local radio station. They may actually broadcast live online. Most radio stations that broadcast live require you to listen via Windows Media Player or Realplayer. Even use Widows Media Player to search by genre for radio stations that use the programme to broadcast with.
