you may be at risk of losing some if not all of your income from ssi. a major reason why someone gets a check like that is because they cant work and need the assistance. however i would recommend you trust someone very well and let them get the business and pay you in cash so that it does not show in your bank acct. you are allowed to make less than 500 per month and still keep benefits however if you deposit more then you are going to lose them.

Contact your social security office and tell them that you want to open your own business, They have grants for People with disabilities wanting to open their own business. Good Luck !
