Whenever Granny (if she lets me) wants her lights up outside. May be November, may be October, may be July...never know.

I decorate the house December 1st if I have time. I put up the tree 2 weeks before Christmas and take it down 6-8 days after Christmas. I put Christmas lights outside whenever I get around to it between Nov. 20 and Dec. 15 and take them down in Spring when I get around to it (but don't plug them in all that time)

I don't know if this counts but I hand make many Christmas gifts so the new patterns come out in August and I start working on them about the third week of August, or mid September.

We start a bit before thanksgiving, do most of it during the long weekend (after eating way too much on Thursday) and finish up over the next week or so.
