TRICKY QUESTION. JUST CUZ SHE'S UGLY DON'T MEAN SHE CAN'T TAKE CARE OF BUSINESS IN ALL HER WIFELY DUTIES. IN THE HOUSE, WITH THE KIDS, ON THE SOCIAL SCENE, IN THE BEDROOM. UGLY DON'T MEAN NOTHING. HELL FIX HER UP. TRY SOME MAKE UP, AND IF YOU HAVE MONEY, PLASTIC SURGERY. YOU COULD BE HAPPY FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE WITH AN UGLY WIFE. OR YOU COULD BE MISERABLE.
HOWEVER, DON'T THINK FOR ONE SECOND THAT JUST CUZ YOU GOT YOURSELF A BEAUTIFUL MISS AMERICA ON YOUR ARM, THAT YOU'RE GONNA BE HAPPY FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE. THAT DON'T MEAN SH*T! SHE COULD CHEAT ON YOU, LEAVE YOU, AND DON'T FORGET HER LOOKS AREN'T GONNA LAST FOREVER.
SO EITHER WAY YOU'RE TAKING A BIG CHANCE. JUST GO FOR IT, EITHER YOU'RE HAPPY OR YOU'RE MISERABLE, LIFE IS A GAMBLE. LIVE AND LEARN I SAY. GOOD LUCK ON YOUR WIFE SELECTION.

No, you will never be happy for settling for someone. However, if the only type of woman you can get is ugly, you should probably take a good look in the mirror. She might be wondering the same thing.

I think its kind of funny. I have a happy marriage, but I'm relatively submissive to my husband. On the other hand, my husband is extremely sensitive to my wants and needs. Maybe whoever wrote that thinks that an ugly woman is more likely to appreciate her husband and work harder to make him happy because 'no one else will.'

If you are asking this when you are already in a strong, committed and loving relationship with an "ugly" lady, then, I would say you should search deep into your heart and see if you are willing to make a self-committment to prepare to live the rest of your lives together in the constant and sure social pressure of today where pretty girls are aplenty and the media swamps us with beauties everyday. If you can, then go for her, you will make a good partner.

If you love the person, well probably you would be... but if you're only marrying her just to be assured; then you'll never be. We all know that as of now, looking at our present situation about his kind of topic, being practical must be applied. But actually not all women that are BEAUTIFUL are like what you are thinking they are, some of them are not like that. You just have to look and see her holistically. Well actually the true answer lies in you. You're the only one who could solve this question of yours. You're the one whose gonna be married to her forever... right? Not if that's the only reason you can give for loving someone...
I don't care who you are, but 50 years from now when you're both decrepit and old, I think having a person who loves you for who they know you are is much more important than loving that person for what they looked like "back in the day".

Beauty fades rather quickly, so if we want to stay married for our entire lives, we can't expect her to always be beautiful anyway. So, go for the one with personality, and other talents that you admire. You'll be much happier later.
