My daughter will be 5 months on Father's day & has been teething for almost 2 months -I just got great advice from a mom of 2 that I met tonight - She said a Pharmicist told her to try a product called "Humphrey's 3 " they are dissolvable tablets that you can put in their bottle & according to her -she checked with her Dr. first & they are totally safe & natural & better than using Tylenol or baby Anbesol - She said it will stop the teething pain & allow the baby to sleep - So I am going to try them tommorrow - She said to call around to pharmacies & ask if they carry it & most likely they will know all about it if I have any Q's
Hope this helps
in the sake of both our teething babies
good luck
I know exactly what your going through
-also try a vibrating teether -Walmart has them for $6- they help better than regular ones -My daughter uses it more than anything else -it soothes her gums -but she still needs more relief

I used Little Teether Homeopathic Teething Tablets for my daughter. They are 100% natural and dissolve quickly.

I also gave her frozen grapes or blueberries in a baby safe mesh feeder. She liked the taste, which kept her chewing, and the cold fruit helped ease the pain.

Teething time is rough! I hope this helps.

A 5 month old's liver is not able to handle Orajel yet. Motrin also isn't good to give to younger children. I would give your baby Infant's Tylenol and something hard to chew on like the plastic play keys. Talk to your baby's pediatrician for the dosage. Also just be there to cuddle and comfort your baby.

Hyland's Teething Tablets work great. They are all natural and disolve in baby's mouth. They are supposed to help the teeth push through the gums a little faster. Also use baby Orajel. They now hae little orajel swabs so you don't have to get bit while applying it.

i know this may sound crazy, but im being dead serious.
try rubbing a little bit of jack daniels on their gums. it really works and it doesn't harm the baby.
when my sibilings and i were teething my parents did it to us and everything was okay. just make sure you put it on your finger first and then rub the gums and make sure its not a lot.
also, you can try by putting one of those circle teething rings in the freezer for a little bit and then have the baby chew on it. it will help relieve some of the pain they are going through.

Baby oral gel, and keep trying the teething ring, do not put it in the freezer, it will be too cold and hurt his gums. Just put it in the refrigerator for about an hour or more and keep extras in there. Also keep Mylacon handy for gas pain.
Good luck!

DON'T USE ORAJEL OR AMBESOL.

It just washes off, so it doesn't do anything to soothe the pain other than the moment you apply it, and it can upset your baby's tummy.

Try Tylenol. If that doesn't work, try Motrin. (Motrin lasts a little longer.)

Try a frozen washcloth, or a frozen waffle or bagel. If this is your baby's first tooth, you can try a carrot straight out of the fridge. (Don't do that once she/he has teeth and can bite off little, chokeable pieces.)

I had a munchkin mesh nutrition holder for my son and we positioned all varieties of stuff in it. Ice cubes, strawberries, bananas, apple slices, frozen juice cubes etc. The mesh holder is large because they could get juice/liquid out yet no longer chunks of a few thing so that they couldn't choke :) It replaced right into a lifesaver for teething!

A cold wet wash cloth worked good for us. Plus, make sure you get the nightime formula Oragel. The regular stuff doesn't do a good job at bedtime. A tiny amount of infant tylenol won't hurt either.

Wrap a washcloth around an ice cube and give that to him. He might begin chewing on a favourite toy or something, so just get him a few more just like it. Also, motrin helps a lot!
