Nope! The election process wasn't exactly democratic anyway. The election department happens to be under the belt of one of the minister which shouldn't be the case in a democratic country. The election department should be an independent organisation.
But then again, there isn't a country that's truly democratic.

Well, there is a big misunderstanding regarding the term Democracy!
People in most Western states think they enjoy Democracy!
Well, Democracy, a compound Greek word means the power of the people for the people! Have you seen it anywhere?
But we vote! will you say!
Don't you have examples that your votes does not count?
Aren't most decisions taken without our involvement?
We claim we have Democratic systems and we do not!
Does Singapore claims they have democracy? It is irrelevant! Chinese systems are different than Western. Do they have to copy our systems? NO!!!
They are doing great with what they know for thousands of years! Why should they convert to something new and not secure for their mentality?

Actually I'd say yes. The government is elected in a democratic process. The fact that the majority of the government belongs to the same party is another issue altogether.
