Are you complaining of a pink eye or "Pink Eye"? 2 different things. As said above, "pinkeye" is a highly contageous eye infection that can be either viral, bacterial or (rare) fungal. Having a pink eye does not always mean that you have an infection. You should see your local Ophthalmologist to make sure you don't have an infection and to get proper treatment for whatever it is.

You need to get to a Doctor for a prescription!!!
PINK EYE is VERY CONTAGIOUS!!!
Conjunctivitis (commonly called "pinkeye") is an inflammation of the conjunctiva (the outermost layer of the eye and the inner surface of the eyelids), often due to infection. It may also be caused by adenoviruses.
Blepharoconjunctivitis is the combination of conjunctivitis with blepharitis.
Keratoconjunctivitis is the combination of conjunctivitis and keratitis.

If it's truly pinkeye, then it's extremely contagious! see a doctor immediately and get ointment (works better then drops) erythromycin is what they should prescribe. You will feel better within a day, and much better in 3 or 4 days!

It can be very painful and itchy. Above all, it's really, really contagious, so be careful about washing your hands. You have to the doctor, and they'll give you some antibiotic drops that will clear it up.
