I HEARD THAT THERE IS A PLACE WHERE YOU CAN HAVE THIS PERFORM ON YOU. THEY LET YOU LY DOWN ON YOUR STOMACH, PLACE A BOUT 5-8 SUCTION CUPS ON YOUR BACK. THEY SAID THERE WILL BE PAIN AND BLOOD INVOLVED.

ANYONE HERE HAVE THIS PERFORM ON THEM, OR KNOW ANYONE THAT HAS THIS DONE?-THANKS

PS.
I JUST THOUGHT THIS WILL HELP MY HUSBAND. HE DOESN'T WANT TO TAKE ANY MEDICATION FOR HIS COLD. BUT, I DON'T WANT TO LET HIM DO IT.....IF THERE ARE OTHERS THAT DISAGREE.

If Ive understodd correctly, cupping is based more on superstition than it is on reality.

Think of a cold first of, what is it? A cold is a Constructive Obstructive Lung Disease (also known as COPD). Therefore, the illness is in the respiratory tract, not your hubby's back. So do these two relate? Can suctioning of the the epidermic layer of the skin and harm to the epithelial tissues underneath really help?

In order to not let people scam you with their promises and superstitions, you need to understand how the human body works.

I am not much of a natural supplement believer, but in this case I'll have to recomend it over the cupping method. Perhaps some green tea will help. And why is this child-man being so stubborn? Perhaps he needs your attentnion, try giving him a massage with Vicks. I think he'll enjoy your concern for him.

Just go ahead and baby him, cook chicken soup, sing to him etc...if it lasts any longer than a week and a half, take him to the emergency clinic.

Make sure that his temerautre stays normal and make him drink plenty of fluids.

Cupping is supposed to treat colds but there's no evidence it helps. It does stimulate circulation. Don't know why there would be bleeding - if so, it doesn't sound safe to me. Other potential risks are burns, since fire, alcohol and oil may be involved. Circulation can be stimulated with massage, a warm bath or shower, or a heating pad which all sounds safer and more pleasant!

i have had this done on me it's from traditional chinese medacine cupping is safe and it does work you can go to any Traditional Chinese doctor in your area and have this done. oh and there is very little blood what happens is the suction sucks out the impurities in your body through your pores and you may get a little blood but not enough to make a tea spoon it's safe very safe and the pain is minimal as well

Yeah, never heard of it like that....I have heard of cupping your hands and getting a rhythm going on the back, which forces air into the lungs, and also helps loosen up a cold, but haven't heard of what you describe.....
