i think so....cos if there was no good...what wud we compare the evil with? The worth of laughter is only known after tears....nothing is good or evil.....its just the 'comparision' between two things which makes us feel one is 'better' than the other or one is more 'evil' than the other...hence they are interrelated....( i hope u got my point)...lol!

I'm not sure I've understood the question but I'll try to answer:
By saying "out of any prejudice" aren't you asking us to forget our "absolute" values? And therefore, once we discard absolutes, things become relative.
E.g. I believe it is wrong to kill someone. But I can imagine a situation, (e.g. there is a suicide bomber and I know he intends to detonate the bomb tied around him) where perhaps killing someone is the only way to stop a greater evil. So "good" becomes relative.
Another approach: I will assume they are relative until you can prove to me they are absolute. The same goes for colours too: in the world there are many red objects. Humans generalise from these to form an abstract concept of "redness". We have light red, dark red, etc. Can you prove that red is an "absolute" value? It's relative - if you hold a red rose against different coloured backgrounds its redness will appear slightly differently each time. Likewise there are many good acts, and evil deeds in the world, but I believe the concepts good and evil are abstractions we have made to make life simpler. They do not reflect reality accurately. Reality is relative.
Short answer: yes.

Interesting. I once read a book by an african witchdoctor from South Africa "Credo Mutwa" and he wrote that he was shown the soul in a vision. The soul contained two cocoons like capsules, red and blue which were all the time in movement, entwining around each other always fluid. The two capsules, represented good and evil and that these two were always trying to take the space of the other. For the person or nature to be okay, there must be a balance between these two forces.

You are looking at the world with an attitude of objective realism. You have asked this question first of all isolating your stand point from the rest of the world. This means that the interplay between good and evil, and you are two detached entities. This detachment is in reality is impossible. This is always the problem when we seek answers through objective observation of the facts of our life. I let you think because I do not think any amount of accuracy of words can give you the ultimate answer in this case.
While considering In case of big questions like this one I would am inclined towards adapting a subjective approach. I am a unique and individual person so I have to think from my personal stand point. Yes, I can feel this in myself that the both things exist in human beings.
God bless!!

They're both human constructs and really two sides of the same coin. You can't really have good unless evil exists and vice versa, in order to help define both terms. Of course, what constitutes good and what constitutes evil are based entirely on your own view point. For example if you were a suicide bomber then you would believe you were doing great good, as did the knights Templar during the Crusades, the witchfinders during the that period of witch burning, George Bush invading Iraq etc etc

They are at the extreme end of each other. But in real world these two words are relative words, something that is evil evil in my opinion ,maybe good in your opinion! So I agree with you in some criterion! I ask you try to be good 'cause of your own tranquillity of mind!

yes there is always two side of a coin so if there is good then there is evil also. Everyone has good and evil in him what matters is that which one is strong.
