I have a very low opinion of Waldorf education. I did my own research into the methods and beliefs of Rudolf Steiner before I selected a school for my children and was shocked by what I found. Other parents and "survivors" of Waldorf schools have since organized a very in-depth web site that tells you everything the Waldorf people WON'T tell you:

Here is a small excerpt:

P.S. This is the "Higher Education" category, so your question does not actually belong here.

I do, definitely. It would work for everyone and it has the right balance of lessons in different areas. I love my school and there definitely is room for people with special needs or anyone else, not just bright, motivated children. We have a teacher for special needs to help the ones who need it and learning disorders are screened for every year and when you join the school. The state system is something of a joke, and that's after eight years in it and a year in a private girls day school. I'm pretty sure if I didn't read as much as I do I wouldn't be able to spell or punctuate at all. I think that children who are at the Steiner School will generally come out of it as more thoughtful, independent and rounded people than people who haven't had the benefit of Waldorf education.
