so they won't get sued if they transmit a disease to the convict, and then he gets a pardon and has to somehow get revived, plus they want to spend as much tax money as possible on stupid things

Since it is a medical procedure, standard medical protocols have to be observed.

More than once, the victim was already hooked up when either a pardon or stay of execution came through. And several were subsequently exonerated as innocent and released.

In that situation, how would you feel finally being freed only to come down with a fatal disease because they stuck you with several dirty needles?

At any rate, new needles are always used and they come out of the package already sterile so there's no need to sterilize them. Needles are one-time-use items, they are never sterilized and reused; they are destroyed after their only use.

Yes, I think it is good to always the same safe routine. It is so important to have safe needles that in the rare case that it is a lethal injection that you remember to do the right thing. It also seems more humane to kill someone in a way that is respectful, even though death is the result we would want a sharp blade on the guillotine. Yuck, what a morbid thought!!

Are you talking about euthanasia or the death penalty? What does it truly matter? I wonder why rhetorical questions like this enter one's mind.
