When you answer questions, is it because of concern or you just want to help. Or, is it because you're only after the 2 or 10 points or ego-boosting only? Be honest....

You know, I'm a nurse because I love to help people. So, that also carries over to this yahoo ques./answers. Half the time, I don't even know how many points I have. I give the best answers I can, especially questions relating to my field of work. I do like to answer the dumb questions with a funny answer sometimes. One time, the guy gave me best answer!lol Have a great day:)

A great question Mark,(no pun intended)you know I wonder that myself sometimes when I ask a question. A high majority of the peeps who answer questions are just bs. I admit I have answered a couple with answers that were bs, but that's because the question was most likely bs in itself. I do try to answer with the best of my knowledge and sometimes I answer with a joke and then say go ask so and so before asking peeps on here. I like the points, but I like learning also.

I really want to help other people. But, you know, it is strange that I get this little thrill when I get 10 points for a "best answer." Especially, since I don't get anything for my points. Why does my brain react like this? I feel like a carrot is being dangled in front of me to continue this answering business.

Only because I care and want to give a different point of view--I don't even waste my time if it is a stupid question or something I truly cannot answer honestly.

If it is a stupid question, then I just put something down to get points. But, if the question sounds depressed then I answer from the heart.

It depends on the question. If it's serious, then I do try to help....but mostly I'm throwing in my opinion here and there. I couldn't care less about the points....it's not like I can trade them in for cash or anything, lol.

I don't care about the points...I have fun answering questions, and hopefully I have helped a few people.
