yeah.. it was pretty ridiculous... ivory coast is clearly the best team to get knocked out thus far... they played the 2 toughest first games out of anybody.. usa also has a tough 2 first games.. but i was really hoping to see ivory coast pull out of the group.. oh well.. hopefully they will be back in 2010 stronger.. i enjoyed watching them.. i am a big fan of olympiakos and yaya toure plays for olympiakos so i was pulling for IC since Greece didn't qualify

well as much as fifa try u can't rule out the fact that there is racism in most refree's decisions being black is tough and African teams have the hardest times in all their world cup matches.

Personally i think if Ivory Coast weren't an African team they would have proceeded to the next stage. I think everybody knows that whether they were a fan or not. No matter what i still see them as winners of that group. We'll just have to wait and see in 2010.

You know Drogba is black and African and any foul on him by a white Dutch player could be hardly noticed or called a foul. But a little contact with the Dutch keeper quickly earned him a yellow card. That's what African teams have to bear for now.

Yes, I agree that he was hard done by the officials in this match. Having said that, I suppose that is the price you pay for having a reputation for being easy to fall at the slightest contact. Too bad for him because I personally think that he is a great and powerful player, so he doesn't really need to adopt such antics.

So again, it's as much the referee's fault as it is his.

So far in this world cup the refs have been harsh on the African teams and unfair, there should be a inquiry after every match if disputes arise and refs should also be yellow carded or suspended.

The refree was so unfair. I wonder he knew anything bout his job b/c the whole time he was referring to his assistant. I like the Oranges but now I don't ... thanks to the refree!!!
