Why DO republicans hate Freedom and liberty. Always fighting to eliminate or modify civil liberties?

Republicans want America To be Rules by Christian Extremist with limited freedoms. Why are they so adamant on changing America?

I think for Republicans, power & money = freedom and liberty. And they seem to think that as long as the leaders have it, America is safe in the world. Power is control, Religions lobby the government just like Big Oil and Pharma and countless others.

I think that right now the Religious Right is perceived as very powerful and perceived as the majority in this country - when they are only just barely 51% of voters. That makes them a natural ally for Republicans and Republicans need to strike now, before we start having 75% or 95% of Americans (not just registered Voters) coming out to vote.

So what I am saying is that the Republicans are happy to use the power of the Religious Right because they are the power of today. They will do whatever the Religious Right says, if they can, in turn, continue to provide the votes to keep Republicans rolling in "freedom and liberty".

Because you are wrong about everything. Republicans love freedom and liberty. You really think the ACLU stands for civil liberties? The founders of the ACLU are known communists. You doubt it? Read about them and see for yourself. The ACLU has communist ties, and are nothing more than a bunch of socialists lawyers. They are always on the wrong side of the issue.

I suppose all Christians are extremist in your narrow mind. Are you sure its not you that are the extremist? You seem to be very intolerant of those you disagree with.

3rd, liberals are the ones that are for change, not conservatives. Examine the word "conservative" which means to conserve, or stick with what works. The term liberal is synanomous with change.

Your question is flawed, and obviously you are hopelessly biased to the left. I ask you, have you every closely examined the side you support? Have you checked what they really stand for, not what they say they stand for? Remember, actions speak louder than words. So look at what they do, not what they say. It doesnt match.

Because the REPulsicans in power, as well as most Neo-Cons subscribe to the teachings of Leo Strauss, a German political philosopher. Strauss teaches that deception is the norm in political life, and that societies should be hierarchical - divided between an elite, who should and must lead, and the masses that must follow. He also taught that religion is paramount for the masses alone, and that the elite not be bound by it.
In order to control the masses, their rights must be curtailed and controlled. Privacy, and the free exchange of ideas, must be controlled. Freedom and Liberty run counter to keeping the attention of the masses on their own immediate surroundings rather than on the political maneuverings that happen every day to shape their lives, and thus, their own private prisons.

We don't hate liberty and freedom. You have to be more specific what liberties and what freedoms are you talking about? I have family who are in Iraq right now who are republicans who are risking their lives for freedom and libetry.

Democrats want BIG government to take care of them, and make sure they are okay whether they want to work or not.

Republicans want SMALL government so that the people who want to work get the biggest rewards.

We all want to kick the butts of the liars and cheats who think the world is such a loving, honest, caring place. We want to kill those maniacs who want to slaughter our women and children and impose their self-righteous lifestyles on us.

Me and my daughter who is now 20 have been stalked, harassed and under electronic mind control harassment now for over 8 years and about 2 months ago they (believed to be the governments underground “New World Order Organization” i.e. Citizen Gang Groups) started in electronically zapping my grandchild 8 months old.

but I have been unable to finish it due to the increase in stalkings and harassments of which have psychologically impaired me to only concentrate on keeping us (including my entire family – even those who do not live with us) alive.

After what I believe to be organized 7 murders due to the nature of death, gunshot, and just a couple of days ago ... a man left dead in a swimming pool last Tuesday, June 13th 2006, over 10 car accidents I can get no one to do anything.

I’ve faxed the man holding the seat as president George Bush over 3 times DIRECT to the White House Fax w/FAX CONFIRMATION (listed in YOUR Yellow Page Directory) regarding then the stalkings and harassments... No Reply Whatsoever!
