Your child may be 'healthy' but a seizure disorder reflects that there is a chemical or structural abnormality causing the brain to malfunction.
If your child does not receive screening the seizures can increase in duration and frequency, cause permanent brain damage...and even death.
It may be an organic, biochemical issue that the child was born with or has developed. The seizures could result from
Shaken baby syndrome, a head injury, chemicals, foods, drugs, stress and even video games with repetive light sequences can cause seizures in children.
There are over ten types of seizures seen in children. Absence seizures are barely noticable to violent seizures... your child must be screened as soon as possible. A children's hospital, or a neurologist will work with you.
There are some very safe seizure medications including Lamictal and Neurontin. There are also some dangerous ones like Depakote and Tegretol that must be managed carefully.
Your child may outgrow the seizures or have them for life. Please intervene now before your child's health, education and social skills are impacted. Seizures are not a normal event in children.

The cause of seizures is unknown but they are the result of an uncontrolled firing of neurons. Sometimes these firings are localized to a specific region of the brain and at other times they can be widespread affecting the entire brain.
You should keep note that if your child's eyes ever just glaze over and she become unresponsive for seconds to possibly several minutes, she may also be having a seizure. If a motor cortex in the brain is not being acted upon, she will not respond in a manner consistent with a stereotypical seizure (flailing around, convulsing). But don't discount these, as they can cause just as must permanent damage within the brain as a typical seizure would.
So to answer your question more fully, your child's brain is in a stage of development right now and prone to these outbursts of neuronal activity. She may outgrow them. Even if the seizure was a one time thing, seek medical attention. The doctor will likely send you home with a bunch of information about seizures, but no medication just yet as it could interfere with her development. If there are more seizures, the benefits of medicine outweigh the downfalls.
If you want to self-medicate, try chamomile tea. It acts on the same receptors in the brain as benzodiazepines and reduces the firing rate of those neurons (it calms you down).

seizures are such a mystery that there aren't really any concrete across the board reasons for every event. The doctors first recourse is to want to give the person a cat scan and if it comes back normal they start guessing.Maybe you should keep a personal log and then maybe you might be able to narrow down the reason for the childs seizures

My son had febrile seizures when he was small, which is when their temp gets too high their brain will put them into a seizure to lower their temp. I eventually found out he needed Motrin and Tylenol to control his fevers, his seizures finally subsided. Tylenol alone did nothing for him.

Half of all seizures in toddlers are caused from high fever.

Please, don't ask us. Seek proper medical advice. We do not want to be responsible for your child's health care. Trust me, you do not want that either. Be a good parent.
Of course we don't know that answer except to say that she is not healthy, as you might like to still think.
Go see a doctor, then another - for a second opinion.
