There is no set formula, it depends on the relationship. I moved in with my husband the day we started dating, we were exclusive from day one. We have been together 10 years, married 9.

The purpose of dating is to meet with someone in a public place where you can talk and get to know each other.
After several of these types of dates, you will know if you are compatible. If you are not compatible after a month or two, you might want to talk about being friends or not seeing each other at all. Most people today skip this step and go directly to intimacy and sex.
Once you become intimate you begin to feel an emotional investment has been made and you may have a tendency to feel Territorial. That's when a relationship usually becomes exclusive.

I think that all depends on the relationship. Some are exclusive right away, some take longer. If you want it to be exclusive, talk to the other person about it.

Depends on the person you are seeing and your personal beliefs.
I'd say after a month of dating or seeing someone, you should decide if you would like to remain exclusive. Say you go out, 3-4 times in a month, that should be enough to determine if you would like to pursue a more serious relationship.
After all, how many times do you have to eat at a restaurant before you decide you don't like it?

ALL dating should be exclusive. You’re supposed to go out with someone you already have some sort of feelings for, and vice versa. If you’re willing to throw that away because you can’t go a couple weeks without going out with someone different, then you have an extremely short attention span, and you are looking for a fling, not a partner.

Well............when u r dating someone & enjoying it completely , u actually lose count on time. I guess we cant measure relationship on the scale of time but yeah.....on the amount of happiness. How we feel when we go for dates ? Do we look forward to going on those dates ? Do we want to share the good/bad news, first of all , with that person only ?
We spend years together with someone yet remain strangers . And sometimes the first meeting is very comfy . In your dates , if you can express urself without second thought and the same goes for your counterpart , then its the time to go to..........disco!!!
Dont wait for the calendar to turn pages & if this is not the case , dont lose on your time by hanging in there .

actually it depends upon your understanding. if both of you enjoys time during your date, it would only take around 8-10 dates then you would be exclusive for each other but if your dates would end up with nonsense things, then it's better to stop and look for another date.

A few weeks at least. Get to know him before you are exclusive, you might change your mind if you decided on that too soon.
