Bent is highest Scoring, ENGLISH striker in the Premier League, Defoe is pretty good, Walcott is untested.
I would take Bent but walcott could turn out to be the next Owen.

Question as far as this World Cup is concerned is irrelevant. Walcott is in the squad. If Sven was to pick again, I would hope Defoe would be picked as we lack a natural goalscorer at times. Defoe could be thrown with fifteen minutes to go and need only one chance to score. From the limited time I have seen D Bent he is not ruthless enough to score but he brings a lot in his team play. Defoe, final answer.

Okay, here goes. The first choice eleven is good, s long s everyone is fit, but if you sub a striker for a midfielder(Paraguay), surely a lone striker who can play upfront on his own would be best, so thats agood argument for Bent, with Carrick in front of the defense, allowing Gerrard and Lampard to get forward.
And that is all the praise that this Gooner is giving to Chelsea, Charlton and Tottenham players.

For me it would have to be Defoe. Bent is a bit untested at national level wheras defoe has a few games.
walcott comes recommended by a frenchman who wont play him in the premier league/champions league -so can he be that good. Granted he scored some goals in div 1 - but how many players have we seen do nothing in the prem after being bought from div 1 - any leicester city supporters will remember ade akinbadbuy!!
i think sven has got it wrong. lennon looks a quality player but he wont get a look in whilst gerrad and lampard sit in midfield.

It's like all of the English people have gone "cuckoo". No offese. I mean Sven probably put on Walcott cuz hes a young kid and he probably didn't have to sign any contract sheets. Walcott has never even played for his club Arsenal before. NEVER.
