Well you're not working 24/7 well why would your kids say that. My mum works, yet I don't feel like that. You should also spend time with your children I'm sure they will love that. And your not only earning money, you put food on the table, you buy them clothes and presents for their birthdays and without them knowing you know that you are there for them anytime. Tell them (if they say that) they should appreciate what you have done for thema nd without you they wouldn't have survived.

do they spend too much time at home without you. I guess you must be working 10 hours. Have activities planned for them which will help them learn interesting stuff after school. Karate, singing, playing instrument and lot many other things to do so that they are busy and when they get home they don't have to spend too much time without you. Make them feel important on weekends. Cook for them. Tell everyone that you want to be with your kids when they can hear you. They will feel very nice about it and not hold it against you. Talk to them very often to know how they feel about anything and everything, Dont make promises that you can't keep. With little planning and organisation your kids will never ask that dreaded question. They will be proud of you.

Your kids will not say that - kids love parents who shower them with money and otherwise stay out of their lives.

If anybody else asks you that, you can say that you provided for their well-being and education, as well as providing a good example of how to succeed in life.
