If you do not believe in moral absolutes how could you possibly call the horrible things that Adolph Hitler did or what child molesters and abortion clinic bombers do wrong? After all, every person rightly sets their own moral standard. What those people did was "right" in thier eyes. If one states that the actions of any particular individual is horrible or good or bad he/she is making a morally absolute statement. If you agree that each person decides and sets his/her own moral standards then wouldn't you have to say that a gang member is doing good when he "caps" someone around children and bystanders and rapes someone? After all (in his eyes) he is "improving" himself and his status in the gang. When a rich oil exec steals from employee retirement funds he is doing good because is improving his own pocketbook?
If you do believe in moral absolutes, you believe in one right and one wrong for most every situation, what is THE moral authority?
Is it the Bible?

The moral law is the moral authority. It is grounded in human nature (written on the heart) and is summairly comprehended in the 10 commandments. The bible as redemptive revelation assumes the rejection of God and God's law for man and shows how God is both just and mercyful to man in sin.

I believe in moral absolutes because without them their would be destruction, a social breakdown and everyone would be lost.
Who has the moral authority: Society, your parents, educators, people in government in otherwords the majority: We the people!

What do you think?

Is the person who answered using obscene language right or wrong? or good or bad?

I guess we'll never know. It is not our job to judge. Human beings' primarily purpose is to love one another and to be as happy as they can living life in abundance.

Now, if you my friend, want to use your time wondering if there are moral absolutes or not, that's your decision and I wish that you are as happy as you can doing that.

Yes everything is either right or wrong. It is not in our own eye is it right but in the Lord's. He is the ultimate judge and not us.
