People just have to understand that 10% of people are gay.
It's the same as a certain percentage of the population have blue eyes.
Homophobics are scared that being gay may become compulsory; probably because homophobes believe that heterosexuality should be compulsory.

Absolutely Nothing,
As for the others who would use the Bible or nature to argue the point, consider these:
1. The Bible, although a great book, is not a book of fact but at best of myth. (sorry but believing something is real does not necessarily make real, or true for that matter)
2. Homosexuality does occur in nature, more often than some would like to acknowledge. It is most common within the primate family ie: gorilla, chimpanzee and such
3. Anyone who claims to be a Christian and then says God Hates, clearly worships the devil, last I checked God didn't hate.
4. The King James Version of the Bible is just that a Version. That should say it all right there.
finally
5. God, Nature, Jehovah, Jaweh, Buddha or just the Universe, all of these created what and who you are. I cannot believe in my heart that existence is limited to but one construct.
Live, be free, Love and above all BE !

It's all about identity.
A lot of the push to accept gayness as acceptable centres around the dilemma:
1. It's wrong to be gay.
2. I can't help being attracted to others of the same sex.
Therefore I can't change the way I am and you'll have to accept me. I'm not a bad person for something I can't change, something in the very way I am.
And there is truth in that - no-one can change who they are. But it is also true that same-sex attraction is wrong, that's the clear standard given in the Bible.
How do we resolve this dilemma for the poor fully human person who is gay? They are usually great people, cultured, sensitive, great individuals who have a lot to give.
It's the same answer for every one of us who has a problem or bad habit or anything that we know is not good but can only say, "That's who I am. You can't do anything about it."
Only God can change a person. No-one can do it themselves.
Forget the mistakes of churches that judge and villify homosexuals; that's not what christianity is about. Forget anything that is contrary to what true christianity is - which is a loving God who wants a loving relationship with everyone, and especially those who know what a bind they're in.
When a person realises they can't change who they are, and yet they are congenitally stuck with things that aren't right, if they give their lives over to Jesus, and ask to be filled with God's Spirit, his new nature, God will begin to change their very desires.
They don't have to be forced into counselling or the stress of behaviour management techniques - these things only try to alter the outward behaviours and mindsets without dealing with the very soul of a person. When God changes you you'll desire differently, yet remain completely you because when you gave your life to God you were restored to your primary identity - that of God's child.
I'm not talking just about gay people - everyone has this same issue to deal with, from bad-tempered people to smokers to people who are prejudiced against minorities. It's fair to say that gay people are no worse than the rest of us - the problem is we think we're better, or some gay people may think they have no problem, when we all have a problem, and the same problem at heart.
I love gay people, I know at least one friend who was gay but thanks to God she has found her desires changed, and she is whole now from the inside out. And yet she's still herself, just complete.
cheers,

There is nothing wrong with being gay. The only people who say otherwise are either terminally ignorant or religious. Either way, they don't count.
People are people and " the greatest thing you'll ever learn, is just to love and be loved in return". Words to live by. It's a shame so few people understand that...

Nothing wrong with being gay, lesbian etc.
Just think what the bible say about mankind.
God created us (male and female) in his
image. God did not say you may only be
heterosexual - no, no, so we are all little bit
different. If there was a mistake in Gods
creation, then why has he not corrected
this mistake?
It 's what's in your heart that counts.
Not what you look like,or the colour of your skin,
or who you love.
People are just ignorant - Love Life and love thy neighbor.
AMEN!

some str8 people cant have babys and some of them choose not to have babys .....so if we werent called gay and if we didnt wanna reproduce would that be wrong .....and then there are people who reproduce and dont take up that responsability as they should, every idiot can reproduce gay or str8, but can they live up to the responsability....i dont think they can, so stop throwing reproduction in our faces....this has nothing to do with that, you are just trying to find a reason and this is the best you could find( THE FACT THAT GAYS CANT REPRODUCE DOESNT MAKE GAYS BAD OR WRONG) ......if its not religion than its reproduction ......so far no1 has brought up anything new or intelligent
and yea we are humans .... damn str8 your right

there nothing wrong with being gay. people that aren't mature they'll make fun of you but if you tell people that know you as if you were straight they'll get surprise and Christians they think all of the people should be straight to enter heaven but I'm sure if like a gay man tell a person he barely meet he or she won't be surprise or anything

only open minded and well behaved humans can relate to all of us being same as they are by blood. If a person is closed minded it is impossible to change there views but one thing for sure is are upcoming generations of young adults will change all of this. We need to focus on the younger generation as they are our hope for a fair world for all no matter what your sexual preferance is.

You are right in every way. Still, many people fear it.
Besides, if the only goal of human life is to reproduce, doesn't that make humans a virus?
