I believe he thought there was no shame for Russia.

Now, don't get me wrong. I watched the series on TV even at work, and was a scared then proud Canadian as the series progressed. But, having many years to digest the results.

If not for late game heroics by Paul Henderson, Canada would not have won.

A player who was not getting the close attention like Espesito and other star players, especially late in close games.

Destiny?, the right place at the right time?, whatever. Take out a few minutes of Henderson and Russia wins the series.

The series result gave Canadians a chance to say we're still on top, but, was also an eye opener st say that we are not the one and only elite anymore!

that the teams they were playing against used way to much enforcing and that the refs did not call a fair game
