Is it safe to use tampons when you don't have your period? Just for practice?

It is not safe to use Tampons when you are not having your period, even if it is just for practice. You could end up with Toxic Shock Syndrome which is a serious bacterial infection that could be fatal.

I don't see any real harm in it, although there are a few considerations -- if you're not on your period there may not be enough lubricatoin to get it in easily. If you're not on your period you may forget to take it out, and htis could lead to toxic shock or other infectoins. Also, there's some question as to the safety of tampons at any rate. Some are packed with extra chemicals such as perfumes, etc. Sometimes the cheap tampons made overseas are said to have ingredients in them that are not good for you, such as PVC's, even asbestoes.

No this is not safe, you do not practice for your period with a tampon.....if you are concerned about leaking when on your period wear a pad....

Absolutely not. There is no need to 'practice' as inserting a tampon while you have your period would be totally different then inserting one when you don't. Just wait.

You really don't need to practice. I expect it would be uncomfortable.

I don't recommend it. You might end up with pelvic inflammatory disease.
