planted marigolds to keep insects away from veggies, but does that also work for deer? Only humane solutions, please! And thank you in advance.

Thanks again for all the suggestions. BUT I sat in the kitchen and watched the deer leap over the fence that is right by the mentioned garden! The fence did not do it. Will try the hair and the (ugh) urine!

You can go to your local hunting shop (I think even Wal-Mart carries this) and pick up some coyote urine scent. Place it around your yard; this will deter the deer from coming so close that they will eat your plants. I have also heard that you can put cut human hair (from a salon) around your plants to deter them. I've used the urine scent before and it worked for me. Best of luck!

I actual have the comparable subject!!! My super grandma got here up with a selfmade spray which you spray on the plant. combination an egg, warm sauce and water, and placed the aggregate right into a twig bottle. Use it to spray on the flora. If that doesn't artwork, then there is an computerized sprinkler equipment that has a sensor that sprays each thing. Deer hate it. stable success with your deer subject! EDIT sorry to Jordan S i did no longer understand that he had already reported the sprinkler equipment....

The funnest one I have seen is the motion sensing sprinkler. When a deer or stray dog or would-be-burglar come into your yard, the motion sensing sprinkler turns on and scares them off by making noise and getting them wet...check out the link below...

Save all the hair from your brushes and hang it throughout your garden the human scent will repel them. Also-look up Jerry Baker and his books-the best for non lethal help

Our dog keeps the deer away. Borrow one from a friend if you don't have one. All it takes is a couple of weeks and they will not come back.

people i know put sticks in the ground by the sides of the gardens, and then attach them with strings, and put those pie tin things on the strings, so they make noise when the wind blows... that usually seems to work....

Ask your hairstylist if you can have the hair he or she sweeps up, and scatter it around the perimeter. It works for every gardener I know!

People who grow marijuana usually pee all around them. The hair thing should work too.
