I was a manager for Subway. It took a little getting used to. Just hang in there until you find something better. At least you'll be making a few dollars.

If you haven't got much work experience, I would suggest giving this job a chance. Unless you can name some specific aspect of the job that really upsets you, why not give it a month or two? You probably just pictured yourself doing something more exciting.

Come on, it can't be that bad, unless your boss is mean or something like that. Think of all the people you'll meet. Some of them will be really nice. Focus on parts of the job you do like, since you're there.

Meanwhile, nothing is keeping you from searching for another job.

But believe me, staying in one job makes life a lot easier than bouncing from one low-paying job to another. Until you find something that is really a step up, just stay where you are.

Having a routine and knowing how to do a job really well (so you don' t have to pay such close attention to everything you're doing) will make your time spent working a lot easier, and this will allow you to be less stressed when you're not at work. You'll have more ambition and energy for doing the things that really matter to you, like school, friends, or whatever else you do.

I hope this makes sense to you. It took me a long time to realize that routine is not a bad thing. It allows you to get more things accomplished. You don't have to keep learning new things that are insignificant, like the best route to work, where to find an extra knife if one breaks, stupid stuff like that.

Also, if you stay there a while, you can use them as a good reference when you apply for another job. Sometimes, being the candidate who looks the most dependable, and whose former employer has really good things to say about you, will make the difference on whether you get the job or not.

One last thing. Staying in one job for a while builds character. Instead of just leaving every time you don't like a job, stay and work through the problems. Face things head on instead of running from your problems. This will really help you as you go through life. It will help you be more resilient when problems come up in your life, and give you more enduring relationships. I wish you the best, and I hope you will be happy, where ever your life takes you.

I think you should give it a try. I am always looking for nice people to work for myself, and I know for sure that there are a lot of people like me. If you do a really good job at every single order you take, and smile BIG at everyone that visits the restaurant I am sure that more doors will open, more opportunities for other jobs will begin to come up....guaranteed! If not, your boss will definitely notice this and will promote you soon. In any case, when you do your best in whatever you do, you feel better about yourself and people notice that. I say give a try, put on a happy face, and everything will be easier.

Also in order to get another job, it's better to be OUT there on "the field" it doesn't look good on your CV to be jobless, so be patient, and think that every person you help might be your next boss!

You have to learn to deal with things you don't like. If you are working to put yourself through school, suck it up and be grateful that you have work and are able to make a better life for yourself. It won't last forever...new jobs are always hard at first! If you quit now, it'll just start a cycle...it will be too easy for you to just give up in the future.

Look for another job, but don't quit until you've found one.

Try to figure out why you don't like it, and talk to the owner/manager.

Fast food places have a really high turnover. They've already lost money training you, so they're interested in keeping you. They'll address you're concerns. Especially if others share them.

i don't know what age you are, but if it is a summer job for a teen i say hang in there. if you are in you twenties I say continue working gather enough money attend a community college or some trade school than your options are so much wider and you can surely find a job you like. Please do no take any offense, but you are not going to like many jobs in fast food at minimum wage.

I fried chicken then worked at the post office. Hated them both, but surely stayed motivated to finish college and do what I love.

Find a job that you like better. There's nothing worse than waking up every day to go to a job you don't like.
