I can't imaging a pair of 500.00 shoes that ANYONE would need. That's just nuts. But as far as the original questions, if your budget is such that $500.00 is noticeable (as in you are not married to Donald Trump) then that kind of money spent isn't going to be hidden, and it's totally not right to hide. I think any purchase over $75-$100 that is for fluff should be discussed.

don't do it, he will find out......... but i guess you could buy them and when he askes you about the bill tell him that you bought a ton of clothes, not just the shoes.
