Any of those would work, but most guys aren't fond of a yellow bedroom. Go for a lavender/blue or a light green.

Paint the ceiling plus one of the walls [the one facing the bedroom's door] a dark blue. Then give the other three walls a cooling leaf-green hue [can be light, or dark, as per the couple's own preferences !].
These will combine to give the feeling of lying down under a night sky, amidst lush greenery - both of which can induce a highly romantic mood !

"Blue-Green" :) It's soothing to the eye and it looks quite wonderful...

Or, If you'd like you can paint it "Lavender-&-Soft-Pink." It'll be still romantic and soothing to the eye, and it won't be giving a guy the feeling of being in "Girls Only"-type of Bedroom.

You can also paint the bedroom "Sunshine Yellow." It gives the feeling of bright sunny day (even on the rainy day) and you won't feel depressed. Plus to this, this one will give you the feeling of having so much energy that you might as well be able to accomplish a lot things too :)

Ours is a medium yellow and has been for about five years--we are getting ready to paint again and I 'd be happy to have the same color.

A lot of people are voting lavender. As a guy, I hate it.

Depends what you want to happen in the bedroom ;) Choose deep blue, dark purple, or deep green if you want to create a haven to slumber. Choose deep yellows, oranges and reds if you want a fiery Morrocan love nest where loving supercedes sleeping. Avoid light colors and shades, as they are too stimulating for the bedroom.

lavender is great, but the most important is the furniture, bed sheet, bed cover and curtain should match with same tone. Otherwise what color u choose for the bedroom will be wasteful.

I would personally say a light blue, but if you want to go that way, a dark green. My bedroom is dark green and I love it. I know a few guys with dark green rooms too.

And for all you people who like red, the colour red is proven to make you feel hungry. So don't paint your room red unless you want to gain weight.

Green is more relaxing. Yellow is a hyper color. Most men won't tolerate a "purple" room. So I guess green. Or maybe standard boring beige?

Spa colors are popular right now. Soft greens and blues are very relaxing. They are gender neutral, anyone could like them. They are the colors of the ocean, pretend you're on a tropical island.

I think that lavendar and really light pink would support the "lovey dovey" mood. But baby blue also makes the room into the mood-- especially when it's lighted with a candle and surrounded by roses.
