Somewhere in the router there must be a little hole through which you need to insert a pencil lead and hold it down for about 30 seconds. Of course, do this after you have turned the router on.

Make sure the power adapter is plugged in firmly to the router and the power source. You can try using a different power adapter (universal) that has the same power specs (voltage and amp).
Hold in the reset button (usually at the back of the router, may look like a small hole with a button in it) for about a minute with either a ballpen or paper clip while it is still plugged into the power source.

There should be a button on the rear of the router if not there is free technical support online if you can get online via modem until you get the router up and running. Or calll the number listed on the box. But there should be a button on the rear you stick a pin in and reset it.

That happened to me once, and I discovered I had switched the thing off accidentally. When I pushed the little button on the back, it all worked just fine. I remember telling myself, "Turn on the ignition, stupid".
