Actually I took the quote from the British comedy sci-fi series, Red Dwarf, it went something like this:

"Rimmer, you are the boil on the anus of humanity"

I'll sneak in another quote:

Ace Rimmer, "Smoke me a kipper, I'll be home by breakfast!"

That's one way of saying it. Another might be the earth can survive without humans however, humans cannot survive without the earth.

you have a strange way of putting it, but yes. the earth can easily survive without humans, but humans can't survive without it. also, humans are practically destroying mother earth with all their worthless pollution and such, they're not exactly helping the earth that well
