AS MichaelU suggested it depends how you define guy. if you mean all men then no and if you mean the subset of men who believe they are the be all and end all definition of men who as suggested " more likely to be able to belch the alphabet" ( and may I add be proud of it) then that is another issue. For those who chose to answer this question that only gay men would enjoy musical theatre are not only bein offensive to me who is not gay but to those men who are.

Well, if you define "guy" the way Dave Barry does, then yes, because by his definition, guys are a subset of men who are more likely to possess the ability to belch the alphabet than recite great speeches or appreciate any form of music that doesn't involve a "smokin'" guitar solo. But if you mean to ask if all men hate musical theater, then the answer is no, and despite what other people will write here, they're not all homosexuals. I personally liked what they did with "Les Miserables," thought "Phantom of the Opera" was entertaining but perhaps a bit overrated, hated "Cats" (but then, I was twelve when I saw it and didn't quite get the point), and admit that some Gilbert and Sullivan productions are a guilty pleasure. Generally, men who appreciate classical music and other performing arts will also appreciate musical theater to one extent or another.

Are you kidding? Rent is freaking amazing, I loved Pippin and I laughed my *** off on The Full Monty... Full blown musical theatre (where there is no spoken words), I have yet to witness, but if I can sit through Requiem, I think I can take it.
And BTW: I am married. Musical Theatre is what entertainment used to be a century ago. If only gay men like musical theatre, would you have a problem with your ancestors?

No. I happen to love musical theatre and will until the day that I die. For me, it is an escape into another world that I love. There is not another form of entertainment that can tell a story like a well written musical.

No -- a lot of us think that it's pretty cool. Some of us even realized that musical theater productions were where some of the girls hung out and -- what do you know? -- acting and ainging were fun too.

No. Guys that are involved in either music or acting would actually like it, not all of them, but many.

No, that is a stereotype. And of course you're gonna get the answers from people (stereotyping) saying that gay men like it, but actually some men do still like it and aren't even gay...
