Denny's or anywhere off the strip. Try downtown. It's the older hotels. But go to the Denny's in the morning. It's a trip watching them get people in there. Have fun!

I have two suggestions depending upon where you are staying.
There is a food court and a Denny's mid-strip near the Casino Royale. And there is a wonderful food court on the third level of the Fashion Show Mall across the street from the new Wynn.
Oh, for the best breakfasts go to the Barbary Coast hotel, next to the Flamingo. Go to the very back of the casino to the Victorian Room - it's a great little restaurant!

I used to go to vegas all the time, but havent been back in 9 months. From what i remember most buffets are around $25 give or take a couple bucks depending on it being lunch vs. dinner. The Paris has a good breakfast buffet. Bally's and Ceasars Palace have a pretty good lunch buffets. And most places have a Dinner buffet. As for a regular meal, ESPN Zone at the NYNY hotel is pretty good for just plain ol' american food. Just a few suggestions for ya.

Eating cheap on the Strip usually means sticking to the coffee shops (every casino/hotel has one) rather than the restaurants, which are usually very expensive. The cafes at Caesars, the Flamingo, Luxor are all very nice. I Love This Bar & Grill at Harrah's is fun and not expensive. Cheesecake Factory at Caesar's Forum shops is nice but not too expensive. Another alternative is what I like to do: have a plate of appetizers as a meal at a bar or lounge. This usually works out nicely. There is also a food court next to Casino Royale. If you're up at the north end, avoid food at Sahara and Riviera. It's cheap but gross.

Just off the north strip ( I know you asked for on the strip, but we dont usually try to save money on the strip ) there is a place inside the Palace Station. It's a oyster/gumbo bar attached to a restaurant. You can have a fantastic meal for two, incredible gumbo, salad bar, drinks, for under 25 bucks. The restaurant is very nice and the service is great.

I'm partial to buffets, and the cheapest buffet on the Strip is at Circus Circus. The food is reasonably good and dinner will cost around $10 a person. If you eat enough there, you won't need another meal for awhile, so you can save money by skipping a meal!

go to the peppermill and share a plate. The portions are HUGE!!!
its right on the strip, and its not in a hotel or anything, but last time I went (last summer) it was kind of hidden by the construction of the Wyndam Hotel.
But like I said the prices are reasonable, the portions are BIG, and the quality has never let me down.
Congradulations!!!
