1st off..... try and reduce the use of make-up... foundation is good for sun protection.... Well.. palmers has a nice line however I use a combo of shea butter and coco butter. if it is on your face get the cocobutter stick. I give myself weekly scrubs and masks this helps get rid of the dead skin then each day use some palmers fade cream and cocobutter on the scars. My skin is that light brown color... you know not light and not dark and it works wonders for me.

for the dry skin make sure you use shea butter on your body as well as coco butter. Use it after you shower this prevents dry skin and also helps prevent scars. a lot of time scars come from unmostrized skin.

Shea butter! Shea butter has Vitamin C, and Vitamin C can help fade scars. In fact, it has more Vitamin C than oranges. You can look for pure shea butter in a natural food store or online at places like www.drugstore.com. I found Common Sense Shea Butter in the natural section of Longs Drugs. It really moisturizes my combination skin, as well.

If you decide to buy some, make sure you let it "melt" in your hand. Spread a dime-size amount in your palm, and let it melt for a few seconds. This makes it easier to spread.
