Every time I come across a flash object, I have to click on it in order to activate it. I've never needed to do this on my other computers, and it's getting annoying. I've tried playing with IE's options, but it didn't do anything. Wtf is going on.

It's Microsoft's new security feature designed to prevent possible attacks through active content in webpages.

The final IE7 release (which some of us already have) offers the option of always allowing flash objects to load without a prompt.

The IE7 Beta 2 v1 release allowed you to click on the flash movie one time and then would not prompt you to activate it upon a reload.

If you want Macromedia to automatically notify you when a new version of Flash Player is available, select Notify Me When an Update Is Available. From the pop-up menu, select how frequently you want Flash Player to check for updates. The default selection is 30 days.
If you don't want Macromedia to automatically notify you when a new version of Flash Player is available, deselect Notify Me When an Update Is Available.

Go to this website:
http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager05.html#118377

You can actually uncheck or check the box on the screen that lets you do the settings.
