superstition means an irrational belief (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Superstitions#Superstition_sites) so it can be anything for anyone, however the most known and talked about are:

1. The commonest is there is/are god/gods.
2. fear of no 13
3. black cat crossing path (or seeing one)
4. keeping right foot in when stepping into a building
5. Walking under a ladder
6. Breaking a mirror
7. Always believe in luck, not WORK
8. believing one can win a lottery every time buying tickets
9. gambling your all money away and even last few cents hoping that millions will suddenly come out of no where
10. crossing fingers/touching wood (for luck)
11. lucky charms (4 leaf clover, horse shoe, etc)
12. lucky birth stone
13. African voodoo doll (that it can even kill)
14. spilling salt and throwing over shoulder
15. Cross works on vampires
16. believing love in ever after on the marriage day (without work) or it is bad luck seeing your bride in her dress before church (or on the day of the wedding)
17. Another life is out there (in Cosmos)
18. Ghosts walking between us and talking to us
19. Souls walking around for 30 days after we die
20. Stepping on cracks
21. Wedding day for a lady, she must ware: "something new, something old, something blue and something borrowed" for good luck.
22. Believe that wedding night is the best night
23 Full moon might get spooks out
24. If you have hair growing on your toes you will be rich one day
25. if you have hair growing on your forehead (like a soft fur around your hair line) you will die by drowning
26. If woman is pregnant and her tummy is around like a ball and cant see it from the back its a boy.. and when you can see from a back it is a girl
27. Bad luck goes in threes so if two bad things happen take a match stick and break it, if four bad things happen break two match sticks
28. The prayer will reverse aggressive cancer or talking and negotiating with God that one will suddenly change when something good happens in bad times

30. Hiccups: someone thinks of you, scratchy nose: you will soon get cross
31. the worst one I heard when I was young that specific government black cars : their tires were filled not with air but human blood. Yuck!
32. AND THE MOST FUNNY that we witness VERYDAY: Emails: if you don't send it out within 24 hours you will have bad luck/you will die/you will have no more friends/ (it is so amusing how many of those things going around.. and everyone even most intelligent of us send it out within the 'time')

If you are going out and some body calls you back at home, or your feet or head hits some obstacle(indirectly hinting dont go!!!)or some one asks you where are you going, All these mean you come inside home sit for a minute take a sip of water and then go once again, otherwise there may be obstacles on the job on hand.
If the dogs howls/lets out a long whining sound like crying some thing bad , like some death in the surrounding area would take place, the dog is supposed to be gifted with sight to see the heavenly forces coming to take some bodys life whose term is over.
If some body sneezez but once only is a bad omen but sneezing twice good omen.
I can add on but let others too add.
May be there are web sites too on this and country to country it differs!

there are a lot of supertitious beliefs in the philippines. some don't believe them anymore since more people are now better educated. some beliefs that i know of: CATS: if you meet a black cat while walking, don't continue what you plan on doing because its a sign of bad luck or a bad omen. SWEEPING: never sweep the floor when the sun is setting. they believe that luck will go out of your house. the elders says that you are sweeping good luck out of the house. about the SPOON. when you are eating and it fell off the table, there will be a male visitor later that day. if a FORK falls off the table a female visitor will come. some of my relatives who are fishermen don't go out to the sea when its full moon because they believe that they won't catch anything because a dragon/ big sea creature is scaring all the fish. that's all that i know of. some are not practiced anymore, still some believe them specially in the provinces and the elders.
