I'm really self confident. I'm well aware I'm not perfect, but how can I be sure I'm not big headed?

Well, a friend of mine use to always say: "Convinced! Never Conceited!"
I thought that was always words to live by.

I agree with a lot of these answers. The one tha was good was the one about if you were you wouldn't be asking this question. And to add to that, if anyone has ever told you that you are an egomaniac, or that you think you know everything then that is a big sign that you are overly self-confident. Trust your instincts. My husband is all up on himself and he knows it and he likes it that way and nothing I say will change his mind, so good for you for wanting to better yourself. I like him because he was confident but I can see how that can be a turn-off.

A effective guy will exude self appreciate and appreciate for those round him, he cares about his seems and is familiar with what makes him stand out bodily. he's not afraid to voice his evaluations and isn't any longer afraid to attempt some thing new. he's the style of guy which will approach the most captivating lady and strike up communication, he's familiar with he would get rejected (he's not too ineffective to confess this) yet thinks "hello that is nicely worth a shot"! A conceited guy "is familiar with" that he's only the sexiest component obtainable and could no longer understand the theory that he's not god's present to females people. He spends outrageous quantities of money on hair, outfits, tanning etc.... and purely is going for females people that're 10 out of 10's bodily because why could he waste his "sexiness" on someone who does no longer look as if Megan Fox? he's above this. He assumes he will continuously get laid and each and each women people needs him so he under no circumstances tries problematical for that particular lady. he's the guy who spends adequate hours in the front of the mirror to make even the girliest lady furrow her eyebrows. yet quite in the top, the conceited guy is only the fellow who receives laid each evening yet wakes up all on my own in the morning.

If you are overly self-confident, people will definitely let you know that you are arrogant, etc. If that's not happening, you're healthily self-confident.

The key to healthy self-confidence is to not exaggerate or lie about your abilities. You accept your shortcomings and exploit your strengths. There's no need to brag; just use your strengths to do good things and you'll use them to the best advantage. Put your money where you mouth is, so to speak!

you can never be too confident. i think that is the most attractive attribute in a person. now being a prick about it and looking down your nose at others is a different story. but there is absolutely nothing wrong with being proud of who you are, it is a beautiful thing.

Ask a friend whose opinion is honest and not sugar-coated. They'll tell you straight up if you're an a$$ or not.
