My husband is Hispanic..he works two Full shift jobs...16 to 18 hours a day...He pays his taxes...double time...something we will never collect on....But HIS money is going to support you guys out there who complain about Mexicians....Mine works to support yours in their old age...TWO JOBS! What are you doing to support yours...

Okay I hear what you guy are saying...but be truthfull...If seriously there were no ...So called Mexicans to clean other peoples toliets...and make your tacos...which you know you all love...Would you do all the crap work yourself....for under...minimum wage?

I Never said ...put the issue of illegal immigrants of any race on the list of insecurities for law abiding "Citizens"...My Question was ....What have Mexicans done to you? I never mentioned Ilegals...immigrants or Mexician Americans...It was a question asked...only that.

I have no reservation about people from other races..creed...or country....Immigrants..created this Country we established it to what it is today...Yes you may say...Duh...That' why the country is what it is today Thank God you have the choice to Leave...Go back to the land that makes you independent...where you don't have to put up with all the immigrants...To Bluer Skies...Somewhere over the rainbow..Find Peace...But for me and all my interracial immigrants. Please don't believe that all white Americans are ignorant and ungrateful. I absolutely love the diversity of Northern Virginia. I think it is wonderful to hear my students speaking Spanish and Arabic in the hallways of my high school. By the way, as for the National Anthem being sung in Spanish, nothing sounds more beautiful to a true American than that! After all, the pledge of allegiance to the American flag is performed in sign language in our ASL classes.

I not only appreciate the Hispanic Americans (whether "documented" or "undocumented" by the way) you speak of, the ones who do the dirty work, but I also appreciate the hard-working businessmen and women. Many, many Hispanic Americans actually CREATE jobs for other Americans by creating their own business.

My only plea to the Hispanic American population is this: Learn to speak and read English for your own benefit (not others), but don't lose your native language and culture! Our country would be poorer without it.

Oh, and by the way, America has no official language, any more than we have an official religion.

Not one single thing! I don't believe in putting the blame on any one specific group of people, I prefer to judge individuals for their actions. The blame of course goes to the politicians that took it upon themselves to change the immigration laws back in 1965. Anyway, I am fed up with people always pointing the finger to the Mexicans, but I do agree that if you are here illegally, then you should be ready to suffer the consequences. This goes for people from all other countries that come here illegally too. Not to long ago in orange county, near Newport Beach, CA. there was an incident that involved some Chinese immigrants ( roughly a few hundred) that came ashore illegally and the authorities only caught two of them. Interesting that only two were caught. Also very interesting is the fact that you never see any other race of people working the fields besides Mexicans. No Asians, no Middle Eastern people, just Mexicans. Now let's get back to the Mexicans. Most people don't realize that California belonged to the Mexicans, all the way up to the Oregon border. Then the Europeans came over and it's been going down hill ever since. So the solution to this astronomical problem lies with the elected officials running this country. I say fire all of them because they are not doing their job, which is to do what is right and in the best interest for the American people, aka Joe taxpayer!!!!!! The elected officials have the responsibility to the people who elected them to be honest, above board and just do their job!!! If the Mexican government and the economy in Mexico was good, then most Mexicans would not have to go elsewhere for jobs. Just like our government , which should stay out of other countries affairs (we have enough of our own problems). I could go on but my dinner is getting cold. That's my two cents worth for now.

It's not Mexican's in general .. this is NOT a race issue. It's immigration laws for ANY person not a citizen of the US. I have mexican friends and friends of other races. All of whom are here legally and not sucking our system dry of funds that were meant to help legal US citizens. Nor do they cheat our tax base with fraudulaunt SS #'s or # of dependents on W-2's.. It seems odd to me you would put the issue of ILLEGAL immigrants (of any race) on the list of insecurities for law abiding citizens. We've laws and they're there for a reason, just as any other country has. Mexico being much more strict with immigrants coming to their country. Does this mean you view all the other countries as insecure too???

For one thing, not all cause me "insecurity". Some are the finest of people to walk this planet. But think of this, they (the illegals) came in violation of the law. If you did in Mexico what they did in coming here, you would be slammed into a very disgusting, overcrowded jail cell. I had a friend that went to visit a friend and happened to have a book from work. The kind policeman passing by then arrested him as accused of working illegally in their country. Happening the other way around, we bend over backwards to ignore it. Now which is the more 'civilized'?

Then too, as with some from Russia and Italy in years gone by, CRIMINALS come in to do their dirty work all the more profitably here. Some of the Mexican gangs are the most cruel people. In a town I used to live in, someone crossed some gang leaders, they wrapped the man in barbed wire, drug him behind a pickup truck, then drove nails into him. The nails in the head finally killed him. Then after terrorizing the wife personally, they let her go with threats of more for her if she went to the authorities. These are the modern-day slave traders that pack their countrymen, women, and children, into truck trailers in a way that would make Hitler proud. Then if it isn't convenient they simply leave the trucks parked, and locked, in the hot sun to kill them off if they don't have a buyer or if they are about to get caught. Nice guys.

Today, there are organizations that think that with a few more from home they will have enough clout to get us to return places like California, Texas, and most of the stuff in between, back to Mexico. Already, if you've been watching the news in recent weeks, it has been reported that about 1 in 7 Mexican workers is now in the US and that something close to 10 percent of all Mexican citizens reside here right now. When you go to the emergency room and see several who can't speak English, or at least very much, and they get their bill dismissed while you have to promise everything from your first-born to your right arm that you will pay that $3,000 bill for something that would have only cost $100 ten or fifteen years ago--enjoy, you've just paid for a couple of illegal aliens' bills in the process.

The border patrol recently said there was no threat from terrorists sneaking over--recent Readers Digest article said they only caught some 160 of Middle Eastern origin sneaking in with the Latin American traffic. While we weren't close to catching most of the hispanics, surely we caught all the would-be terrorists. Nothing to worry about.

you must be mexican if you dont see it. There are whole cities in mexico that are doing NOTHING because their relatives are over here sending them money. They are mostly illegal immigrants that use up all our funds... They might as well call it food stamps for mexicans or mexican child support. They are also mostly gangsters or whatever the f u c k. The ones that are here legally are cool. And its not insecurities its anger...

Illegal Mexicans, big problem. It seems advertisers and stores are going out of their way to cater to them. Why is there Spanish being spoken on the tv screens at Walmart? This is America. Our chosen language is English. My German grandparents had to learn English. There weren't "press this button for German" options on the phones. If you want to be an American, be one. If not, go home.

i don't feel that I have any insecurities about mexicans. As long as they are legally here in U.S.A. than I have no issues with them. Illegal aliens are a different story though.
