Ask your mom! she will help you. and don't be nervous about asking her, or using tampons. neither are a big deal!!!
tampons are scary at first, and it will take a few tries to get it right. but you will be able to swim and you wont have to wear pads anytime you dont want to! you will love them when you get the hang of inserting it.
try a junior one first. they are tiny!

and DO NOT swim with a pad or toilet paper. that will be a big mess. And I wouldnt try swimming without anything. you never know what your period will do. it certainly has a mind of its own!

Buy some playtex regular non scented tampons. They have a plastic applicator for easy glide. You can also use a little ky jelly if your afraid of it hurting. Tampons are the most convienent thing around for periods. They are just intimidating at first. You won't have much luck with toilet paper. It just gets messy.

wear a pad, the ones that has wings and wear bored shorts, u can try toilet paper but it will just go soggy and fall out and u wanna hope it's not hanging half out of ur bathers wen u get out, or risk it and wear nothing wen u swim then as soon as u get out put a pad on

Just get some tampons. It's really no big deal, they make small ones. Don't stick anything up there, you could get an infection.
And don't just leave it alone, or your friends may wind up knowing more about you than you want them too.

Why would you use toiletpaper when you can use a tampon?

if you don't wear tampons have you never tried them or just don't like them..because it is virtually impossible to swim with a pad you don't want to try it....i have seen someone at the lake with one on and when they get out of the water it is gross....:( so if you can't use a tampon i wouldn't recommend swimming........

then you should try wearing tampons if you want to swim but don't stick a piece of tissue up there.
