I hope so. It isn't fair to deny two consenting adults in love the right to get married simply because they are the same sex.

There are already some states that have legalized same sex marriages.
Heck, it is still legal in Utah to have more than one spouse.
Think about this. At one point women had no rights either, now look where we stand.
Same thing is about to happen for same sex couples.
Seriously people, what do you think homosexuality is heriditatry? Come off it. I grew up in a household with two mothers. I'm now married to a wonderful man who is in the Army and we have a beautiful daughter together. You have nothing to fear from same sex couples. They just want to be able to love whom they choose without being persecuted for it.
What you should be asking is if same sex couples will get the same rights (taxes and whatnot) as male female couples.

I don't think so. The common idea of marriage is a bond between a man and a woman. The idea is at the core of American beliefs and it will be hard pressed to get it changed.
I think most people don't have a problem with civil unions. Why do they insist on having homosexual marriage. The gov should make sure they get the same legal rights as people that are married, and then nobody should be able to complain from either side.

i'm gay. listed right here are my perspectives: for sure, i think that similar sex relationships are merely a organic area of the international. My entire relations has had to come back to words with that, as well. about gay marriage: properly, i think that if the church homes prefer to save marriage sacred between a guy and a lady, that's a decision that must be made by ability of them. although, i think that gay couples could accept some type of equivalent to marriage, even no matter if it really is not marriage by ability of brand call, that promises them a similar rights as a married couple must have. Why could any human beings be denied those rights because they desire to have a courting that differs from what some human beings believe is ideal?

It will be eventually. Remember, 50 years ago we didn't have a civil rights act either. I think most people in this counry, even if they are against homosexuality, really believe what people do in private is their business. When we leave this phase we're in of this paranoid, intrusive, conservative phase of government, we'll begin to see some change, but it will take awhile.

I hope and pray that it never will be. For if it ever does it will defile what God Himself has established and make a mockery of what marriage stands for

Unfortunately, I believe it will be many years for Americans to pull their heads from their Bibles and actually look at the law.
I say 'yes' but not soon enough.

I don't think the American society has an open enough mind for that. So I'm going to vote No.
