Couldn't find any specific online info on this company, but I believe the full name was Colonial Premier Light Company, and that they were based in Chicago.
If you search for "Colonial Premier", you'll see that fancy design houses list antique lamps from the company for quite a bit of money - and occasional auctions show up for Colonial-Premier marked lamps on eBay, as well.
I'd try the main site of your local library for help tracking down a book on antique lighting - given that this seems to be a well-known company of its day, I would suspect that a good lighting resource will have additional information on the firm and its products.
