over 3000 non military people were killed on 9-11. Is it worth it. On D-Day WWII over 7,000 were killed on one single day. WAS IT WORTH IT.

If you are profiting financially from the deaths of the soldiers, as are Bush, Cheney and Halliburton, most definitely.
For anyone who claims the US government "supports its troops", kindly explain why this week the US government banned the use of privately purchased body armour. Soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistant who use kevlar vests that they or their families bought will be prosecuted, and any soldiers who die wearing such body armour will NOT receive death benefits.
The soldiers are, however, allowed to use "body armour" which is heavier and provides less protection than what the soldiers buy for themselves (the highly-rated "Dragon Skin" armour).
The manufacturer of the "official" military 'Interceptor Body Armor' is a company called Point Blank Body Armor. The company has ties to high-ranking members of the US military, some of whom made the decision to buy the "Interceptor" now WORK FOR Point Blank.
Despite the proven poor quality (most people would cancel the contract and sue) the Pentagon has EXTENDED the contract with the company. On Wall Street, such practices would be investigated for insider trading. This isn't because it's "national security".

Worth what exactly? I don't beleive there is any value for the average joe american to force democracy on the Iraqi people. The Shi'a clerics have been the most abrupt about wanting the U.S. to leave. There was no point. Terrorism was brought up only after the WMD were not found. Humanitarian mission? Not likely given the history of U.S. foreign policy. Its just sad how these things go unimpeeded in the government. Nobody does anything reasonable or rational. Havn't in a long time.

No death is worth it to me.. but each and every soldier volunteered to put themselves in a position where death could be a real possibility.. with this in mind, is it really fair of us to blame government for what is happening. All the soldiers would have to do is fail a fitness test or ask to see a military psychiatrist to assess their beliefs or fears and a determination could be made to sense thier ability or competence to not be a liability to those they would be serving beside in this conflict. I support the troops, but I fail to see the reasoning for the continuation of things to the current degree. To me 1000 is probably worth the cause.. but enough is enough and 1001 is too many.

That depends on who you ask. If your Bush and Cheney and there oil buddies in Haliburton than yes it is worth it.
If your a sucker who bought that lie that " we have to go into Iraq, Saddam Hussein has weapons of mass destruction". Than the answer would be no
If your one of many companies in Iraq who have stolen government money than the answer is yes.
If your a taxpayer who has been told "we can't give you affordable health care, we just don't have the money. Yet Bush somehow came up with billions to get into Iraq than no.
If your the Carlyle people a large group of defense contractors who got big contracts for our armed services in Iraq, who have business dealings with Bush and Cheney than yes would be your answer.
If your alot of our brave men and woman over there who had to go despite the fact that Bush went A.W.O.L when he was in the national guard, after he heard he might actually have to go to Vietnam. Or Dick Cheney who did everything he could to weasel out of going to war in Vietnam including applying for five deferments, (it worked, he never served any time in the military) than the answer is no.

As a Poor Taxpayer I say Yes.........
If we don't fight them over there, we will be fighting here.......
Terrorists have been killing Americans for over 30yrs. yet the problem was ignored......
My brother was ther and I mean no Disrespect to the dead, but people need to stop comparing that number to other wars......
In Vietnam that many Soldiers were killed in a month......
That number just shows we have the Greatest and Best Trained Soldiers in the World......
If we don't deal with Terrorists now on Foriegn Soil, More Civillians will be killed here and in Europe.....
In case you haven't noticed, terror attacks in europe and asia have been non-existent,and there have been no more attacks here since 9/11.........

It's cliche, but freedom isn't free. I think if one life that could have been spared, but was taken, then it's not worth it no matter what the situation. People die in wars... that's just what happens. Is it another Vietnam? Who knows until all of our soldiers are out, if that ever happens.

Or kids are not fighting for our country, they are fighting for dubya. His daddy started this crap over there and he is finishing it. I would not be one bit surprised if the whole 9/11 thing was orchestrated just to get this war started for his daddy's ideals and haliburten contracts.

I think men fighting for their country is worth it but that doesn't make the pain and suffering of their loved ones any less painful. bush needs to bring our troops home, strap up and go take care of business himself. stop taking the lives of innocent men.

No i dont think the deaths in iraq were worth it. We did not have to go to war over the 9-11. Violence is never the answer. That is wat they teach us so why are we using violence now to get wat we want.
