book 3 because like punkrocker said there were a lot of surprises. i also loved the fact that harry finally had something everyone else had-family. he was able to find out more about his parents which is something that's very important to him.

I love the 3rd book b/c JK made the sooooooo many unexpected turns in the book. i was expecting sirius to be evil or s/t. he' sactually harry's god-father! he gave harry a long time needed hope. i hated the 6th book. JK said that she and dumbledore were the only ones that you can trust in the harry potter series. now any of the characters can be lying at any time. i cried in the 6th book. so did almost every person that i know. i guess that, that was the best written book to pull at your emotions like that. or maybe b/c she designed dumbledore to be a very lovable character. anyways, i LOVED the 3rd book!

every book is better than the last so as of now my favorite is half blood prince. it really let you identify with the characters and i thought the feel to the book was very strong

The Half-Blood Prince. It showed us how much Harry has grown as a person and what kind of a stand-up kind of person he is.

And Half-Blood Prince, because it was more adult and I identified with Harry.

I love the Goblet of Frie...there is so much action in that book and it is the first one where you can tell that the characters are growning up
